AMTRA RAMA Complaints and Professional Standards
All RAMAs are required to abide by the current version of the Code of Practice, to abide by the Veterinary Medicines Regulations taking account of VMD's Veterinary Medicines Guidance Notes, and to act in a professional manner.
Where appropriate AMTRA will work with the Inspections and Investigations Team of the VMD to investigate complaints, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the VMD and AMTRA.
Complaints by AMTRA student RAMAs
Student RAMAs (or recently qualified RAMAs) who wish to make a complaint about the standard of service, action or lack of action, provided by AMTRA during their time as a student RAMA, should consult the student complaints procedure.
Complaints about AMTRA RAMAs
AMTRA's Professional Standards Committee and Board will consider written complaints about AMTRA RAMAs alleged to have breached the Code or alleged to have acted in some other way which might constitute a breach of professional standards.

Complaints will be considered by the Board and where appropriate by the Professional Standards Committee in accordance with the procedural document CF1 Registration and Professional Conduct of SQPs v9 - December 2021
Complaints about RAMA businesses
If you are concerned about the activities of a RAMA business but where the complaint can't be directed at a particular RAMA, please contact the VMD:
